Summary
Our shocking O'Donoghues form continues!... ...let's hope that we don't
have to play there again this season.

The Games
Sparky
(SL3)
lost 0 - 2
against a 3
Sparky's shocking run continues, we have to come up with a way to get his
confidence back up.... ....and soon! This was a comfortable victory
for his opponent who actually played very well and certainly above the SL3
level. Keep plugging away Sparky.
Mike
(SL5)
lost 3 - 2
against a 3
Although Mike dropped the first rack, I still couldn't see him losing the
match and after battling back to hill-hill that's the way it was looking. A
couple of very lucky leaves by his opponent never left him with a shot at
his final stripe and the match was gone. Worst shot of the night...
...missing the 9 ball with ball in hand and only one stripe and the 8 ball
left on the table - doh!
Sean
(SL5)
won 4 - 1
against a 3
Probably the match of the night and in the balance throughout. In the end,
Sean's extra ability and experience came through as he grabbed an excellent
win against one of the leagues best SL3s. Shot of the night has to be the
length of the table bank on the 8 ball for a 3-0 lead.
Mark
(SL5)
lost 1 - 3
against a 4
All four racks could have gone either way and both players were certainly
at the top of their games. In the end the 8 break in rack three with the
scores level was probably the defining moment. Still, if Mark plays the way
he did all season then he'll definitely win more then he will lose.
Mini
(SL4)
won 3 - 2
against a 4
A great win after being 0-2 down (although the 8 scratch contributed to the
0-2 defecit in the first place!). A comfortable rack three got Marc back in
the match and his opponents 8 scratch in the fourth returned the favour and
made it interesting. Relief all round when the final 8 ball went down and
we escaped with just a 2-3 loss.

Shot of The Night
Sean:
Sean's length of the table bank on the 8 ball for a 3-0 lead.

Worst Shot of The Night
Mike:
Mike's miss on the 9 ball with ball in hand and only one stripe and the 8
ball left on the table - doh!
