Summary

The Games
Mike
(SL5)
won 4 - 2
against a 4
This was a mix of the sublime and the awful from Mike although in truth he
never looked like losing and the hill / hill rack was comfortable. A
special mention for the memorable rack when Mike looked odds on for a break
and run following an astonishing kick to make his final stripe....
....only to miss what appeared to be an easy 8 ball! Definitely a shot of
the night contender though.
Lori
(SL4)
won 3 - 2
against a 4
Another great match. After storming into a 2-0 lead by playing solid pool
and capitalizing on any mistakes, Lori suddenly found herself on the
receiving end of a very different opponent. The match came back to 2-2 and
set up another of the night's astonishing shots with Lori making a
fantastic long bank of the 8 ball to seal the game. An absolutely vital
victory!
Heather
(SL3)
won 2 - 3
against a 5
Ok so the 8 scratch from her opponent in the first rack certainly helped
but it amazes me how often Heather is underestimated. Back came her
opponent to win three racks in a row to set up another hill / hill chance
but when the opportunity for Heather arose she duly took it. A fantastic
long cut on the solid bringing the cue ball back across the table for a
straight 8 ball and the match. Awesome!
Mini
(SL5)
won 4 - 2
against a 4
Yet another hill / hill match!. This time however, it ended up with Marc
making the teams first ever non-captain break and run with one of the most
casual displays of potting ever seen. Marc hardly looked like he had a care
in the world at either 2-1 down or in winning the final three racks for his
first ever win as an SL5.
Mark
(SL5)
lost 2 - 3
against a 4
A very good SL4 but Mark certainly had his chances. I think that the cigar
smoking was a distraction but we need to reinstall Marks confidence just
like we did with Sparky during the last session. The rot won't last
forever!

Shot of The Night
Many, many contenders but I think I have to give it to:
Lori:
For her length of table bank on the final 8 ball.

Worst Shot of The Night
Mark:
When it comes to the point where last season's shot of the night
winner is getting the worst shot of the night award we have problems :-)
